Flareless Bite Type Fittings

In these type of fittings, when the nut are screwed on to the body, the ferrule grips the pipe in position and perceptibly bites in the pipe surface to provide a positive seal. When tightened fully the case hardened ferrules are bowed slightly in the middle and acts as a spring. There unique functions of ferrule are a result of careful selection of right material, precareion machining, and casehardening to give it a hard exterior and a soft core. The ferrule thus not only bites into the pipe readily and superficially without causing surface cracks, but also maintains its spring action for repeated use without loss of strength and sealing quality.

Straight Fittings

The Straight Fittings offered by us are a type of Flareless bite type fitting, which consists of a body, a special case hardened ferrule and a nut. When assembled, the ferrule grips into the outer surface of the tube with sufficient strength to hold the tube against pressure. These are designed in such a way that the gripping are without daretortion of the inside tube diameter. Moreover, the ferrule holds the pipe in its place to give a proper seal when the nuts are screwed on to the body. When these fittings are fully tightened, the case hardened ferrules are pushed in the middle, where these act as a spring. There builds and maintains a constant friction between the body and nut preventing the nut from loosening under stress and repeated vibration.

Straight Fittings

Our Straight Fittings are constructed with a three piece system comparing a main body, nut and ferrule, wherein the ferrule acts as a spring. These fittings are used to hold four pipes sections together. Moreover, the captive ferrule bites the outer surface of the tubing to hold the tube against pressure. Further, the ferrule cutting edges are forced into the tubing wall to create a seal resulting into a spring-action. The spring action offers a leak proof seal and resistance to vibration. The tubing can withstand as the ferrule bites deeper and deeper into the tubing wall with each reassembly. We make use of standard material for manufacturing the fitting body such as Type 316 stainless steel for the body and nut, and Carpenter Custom 630 (17Cr - 4Ni) stainless steel for the ferrule. The ferrules are treated to give extra hardness for biting.
